I’m forty-something and live in the north west of the UK. Currently [2008], unemployed but in the past have worked as a shit, sorry I mean concrete shoveller, fork lift driver, dumper truck driver, laboured in a cotton mill, a marble floor cleaner/polisher, printer and more recently various roles in IT.
I’m on a foundation degree-level CCNA course relating to networking computers which I hope will lead to a change in fortune to my career. In the past I’ve obtained a degree in Fine Art and an MSc in Business Management & IT – neither of which were that good for my career as they aren’t as suitable for what I’d like to do as I hoped they would be.
I’m married, have no children or pets, although we had rats in the walls once, and looked after a budgie one time for a friend and currenly have 2 Blue Tits nesting in our birdbox (2nd year running). I’ve never had a gerbil called Trevor.
